“SALON PRIMO 2026”

“I remember, back in 1994 as a student at Brera, taking part in the Salon Primo exhibition; on that occasion, the Academy’s students were exhibiting in a gallery for the very first time.
I presented my work at Studio Invernizzi. I still remember the excitement, the tension, but also the happiness of that small exhibition.
Now that I am a Professor of Painting at the Brera Academy, thanks to the generosity of my friend Andrea Colombo and his iKonica Art Gallery in Milan, and under the patronage of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, I have decided to give back. I want to offer the most talented and prepared students the opportunity to ‘break the ice’.
These are my ‘guys and girls’, whom I have worked with for three years; they are skilled, dedicated to their work, and talented. Like everyone, they need opportunities to emerge and gain visibility.
Andrea and I had been turning this idea around for a while, and finally, our shared enthusiasm brought about the first edition in June 2025. It is with absolute pleasure that we are repeating it this coming Friday, June 12, 2026, with the aim of showcasing talented young artists, attracting new collectors, and opening a new door to painting, dialogue, and culture in the city.”
