GAETANO D’AURIA and ERSILIA LEONINI Dual Art Exhibition

Two creative souls, two expressive paths brought together in a dual exhibition that moves and provokes thought.
From May 17 to May 24, 2025, the halls of iKonica Art Gallery will host “The Matter of Stars” by Gaetano D’Auria and “Differently Fragile…” by Ersilia Leonini—two exhibitions forming a parallel journey through realms of possibility and introspection.

The vernissage will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 6:30 PM: an opportunity to meet the artists and immerse yourself in an extraordinarily engaging visual narrative.

With “The Matter of Stars”, Gaetano D’Auria opens the door to an imaginative universe. His works depict futuristic cities, roller coasters defying the laws of physics, and abstract landscapes that seem to emerge from a time yet to come. D’Auria constructs mental architectures through visionary and dynamic painting, capable of suggesting movement even in the stillness of a canvas.

Alongside him, Ersilia Leonini presents the series “Differently Fragile…”, a delicate yet powerful exploration of the feminine universe. Her canvases are silent stories of women with speaking gazes, suspended gestures, and colors that gently touch. Leonini investigates the complexity of fragility as a transformative force. Each figure is both subject and symbol, person and condition.

Although they move in different directions—one toward utopian abstraction, the other toward figurative introspection—D’Auria and Leonini find common ground in the authenticity of their artistic quest. Both use paint as a means to give form to what is not immediately visible: the soul of futuristic cities; the soul of people.

The exhibition is free and open to the public until May 24, during regular gallery hours.
