“ESSENCE”

An emotional and introspective journey through three fundamental pillars of the human experience: nature, matter, and transcendence.
From June 23 to 28, iKonica Art Gallery will host ESSENCE, a contemporary art exhibition curated by art historian and critic Francesca Callipari. The show invites the public on an emotional and introspective journey through three fundamental pillars of the human experience: nature, matter, and transcendence.
The project, featuring artists from twenty countries around the world, unfolds as a collective investigation into the possibility of grasping what escapes the purely visual dimension. The works on display go beyond representation, prompting a shift in perspective—from the external to the internal, from the surface to the meaning, from the visible to the deeply perceptible.
The exhibition will feature 25 artists in a physical show and 16 in a video presentation, with artworks capable of inspiring reflection and inner stillness, awakening a connection with what is essential yet often forgotten.
In an era where images are everywhere but often lack depth, ESSENCE stands out for its invitation to slow down, to reactivate a mindful gaze and a deeper form of listening.
