Group Exhibition – Large Format at the Museum of Contemporary Art “Casa del Console”

The autumn/winter 2024 exhibition season of iKonica Art Gallery opened with the exhibition titled “OVERSIZE,” which received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public.

This unique event is now presented in a different context, in the stunning setting of “Casa del Console,” the Museum of Contemporary Art located in Calice Ligure (SV).

In the elegant rooms of the noble floor, 18 artists are showcased with 17 works that, through their technique and creativity, have brought to life large-scale, one-of-a-kind pieces, which collectively and in detail reflect the visions and themes that define them.

A special opportunity to appreciate works that go beyond the standard sizes typically exhibited, while maintaining an astonishing level of detail despite their impressive dimensions.

On one hand, the audience can admire the different techniques chosen by the artists—oil on canvas, mixed media, digital painting, and installations—while on the other hand, they can experience the stylistic affiliations of the individual artists, ranging from figurative works to material abstraction, and geometric abstraction.

Among the artists on display are both Italian and international creators, some of whom have been active in the market for years, while others are emerging talents. The event is curated by art historian Giada Gasparotti.
